This training provides tools for utilizing positive guidance to promote positive group behaviors in the early childhood classroom. Using positive teacher/child interactions and the environment to prevent negative behaviors will be emphasized. Practical tips on what to do when challenging behaviors arise will also be addressed. This course is designed for new teachers and teacher aids. This course is designed to help you: Use positive teaching and guidance strategies that mitigate the effects of stress and separation when transitioning throughout the day. • Explain positive response interactions and their associated characteristics.
• Describe two environmental factors contributing to children’s behaviors and name one way those factors influence a child’s social-emotional and cognitive development.
• Use strategies that promote positive behavior, problem-solving,and self-regulation among children.
