About Joint Initiatives
Who We Are
Joint Initiatives for Youth and Families (also known as Joint Initiatives or simply JI), is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.Our not-for-profit is unique because it is an interagency collaboration of the most senior leaders (CEOs, Presidents and Executive Directors) of Health, Human Services, Education, and Public Safety agencies in the Pikes Peak Region.
Joint Initiatives is a membership organization whereby the board members pay dues that supports JI's office and staff. Our board members come from a diverse cross section of not-for-profit, for profit, and public entities but they all deal with issues facing children or youth, and their families in our community. Collectively, the operating budgets of the JI member agencies is over $1.5 billion dollars.
What We Do
The vision of JI is a healthy community where children, youth and their families thrive.
The community leaders who are members of Joint Initiatives collaborate to build an integrated network of services and advocate for policies that improve the quality of life for children, youth and their families.
