The Alliance for Kids Office of Professional Development

Did you know . . .children in early care and education are better prepared for school when their teachers have higher levels of education and specialized training. Research overwhelmingly reports provider education, retention, and compensation as the best indicators for child care quality.

Funded by the Temple Hoyne Buell Foundation, this El Paso County initiative provides college scholarship funds and mentoring to early care and education professionals who are working toward Group Leader and Director qualifications as outlined by the Colorado Department of Human Services. Scholarships are also available to those seeking an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood.

In addition to financial assistance for Early Childhood Education college classes, this supportive program offers assistance with applying to college, applying for financial aid, referrals to resources, and mentoring for college success and being a superior child care professional.
